Today we present Macarena Estevez Muñoz
Macarena is a Partner at Deloitte and is in charge of the Data&AI area. Throughout her professional career she has developed mathematical models and created math-based solutions for companies of all kinds. In 2020 she was named Top Voice Linkedin, as well as one of the 10 best entrepreneurs by Emprendedores magazine, recognizing her work as founder in 2007 of Conento, a company that she later joined Deloitte. She has won countless awards, is a professor at the main Business Schools and advisor to several boards and company committees.
What are your challenges, what do you like to do with data?
What I most like to do with data is to use it to solve problems, to discover something with it that I didn’t know before. I like to tinker with the data: draw it, look at it.
Do you think companies have the right culture to manage data differently?
I think almost all companies now know that this is what they have to do and I think they are doing the best they can. Companies are not all the same. Speaking of data, a large company is not the same as a small company, nor is a company that is mature in AI the same as a new one.
What are the most important challenges for CIOs, CDOs, CTOs in 2021?

We are living in a paradigm shift, especially in everything related to data and analytics. I will bring to the table my experience in all industries.

It is an event that I like and where I always learn something new.
About the Data Management Summit
The DMS is an exclusive event to guide the data management community in the technology landscape, an open discussion forum to share experiences and use cases. A fundamental summit for CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, BI Managers, Data Governance Officers, Data Scientists implementing emerging technologies to solve new technology challenges. The event will take place in Spain (October 27th and 28th) and Italy on November 24th. There are no more places available for the Spanish edition.
