Data Management Summit 2024, Save the Date

As a company strategy, last year we were at one of those massive events where you have your booth, give a commercial talk and hopefully someone approaches you to ask about your product. I only had to be there for one morning to realize that it was much more oriented to be consumed by service companies and manufacturers than by end users. This is what brings us back to DMS. For a company as passionate about data as Hitachi is, to be able to encourage more companies to get the most value from their data by sharing ideas, best practices, or just a coffee or a few beers, is something to be proud of.

If I had to define the DMS, I would say that it is a breath of fresh air in the set of data events on the national scene. Focused on sharing knowledge and experiences in a bidirectional way, and where the focus is on the attendee and not on the organizer, the speaker or the sponsor. Since then I try to participate in DMS events or in any initiative sponsored by Michele Iurillo, alma mater of DMS and Dama Spain.

The Data Management Summit is in my opinion a very necessary forum in that it is concerned with how companies can assimilate these trends and take advantage of the technology by covering organizational needs and laying the necessary foundations.... In a way, I see the Data Management Summit as helping to bring some reality and "common sense" to companies struggling to extract value from data.

As a member of DAMA and a professional in the data world, it is a pleasure to be able to participate in an event of these characteristics together with other great professionals in the sector and to be able to share experiences, learning from each other.

I strongly believe in the work of DMS and DAMA its potential to disseminate and also democratize a reference framework in the field of data is indisputable. I also highlight the space it generates in an event like this, where we will ignite the spark of collective intelligence to make it possible to create and adopt ideas of value for our professional environments.

When I received the invitation from the organizers of the Data Management Summit, I did not hesitate and joined immediately. I think it is a great opportunity to share and learn from great professionals. In addition, the event, as a benchmark within this community, gives us the opportunity to contact, meet or get to know people in the field of data governance and management that otherwise would not be possible.

I find it important, as a professional in this arena in a huge multinational organisation, to support initiatives that energizes the world of Data Management, specifically those with awareness in the Data Governance perspective as the organization of the Data Management Summit has demonstrated.

A major part of the challenges we face as Data Officers is to create a culture of data, which also comes through the adoption of uniform methods regardless of the industry sector in which one operates. The Data Management Summit is a fantastic opportunity to grow our community through comparing and sharing experiences among "professionals"

The DMS is an event of data professionals for data professionals, a place where a lot of gray matter with a lot of knowledge and experiences around the world of data is gathered in very little space and from which you can take a lot of learning in your backpack in a very short time. In addition, I think that what makes it really different is that it is not a trade fair full of supplier stands or a farmhouse where there is no room for different profiles, but it is a participatory event where the quality of the content is very high and is taken care of with great care and where it is open to all types of roles in the data world without restrictions other than those of the capacity to facilitate the dynamics.

The DMS has a format that guarantees its success. For me it is a pleasure to be able to participate in the institutional opening as well as in the quality round table and group dynamics because it allows me to broaden my point of view with the opinions and experience of the other speakers and participants. Dama España fully supports the Data Management Summit since its beginning.

We support the Data Management Summit because we believe discussion and dialogue is essential-and we want to be an important cornerstone for knowledge sharing. The evolution of science shows that only by sustaining open dialogue do we advance. The same, we believe, is true in corporate contexts. This event sets aside corporate parochialism and enables real dialogue among key people in these contexts.

The Data Management Summit is a different event that allows a much more fluid interaction between participants and allows experiences and knowledge to be shared in a relaxed atmosphere. The focus on the realities of the companies and how to face the challenges from a global vision, without taking them to concrete technologies or thinking about "happy" ideas, means that we can all take advantage of this time and leave looking forward to the next meeting.
