Advanced Analytics: No more ETL, more No Datawarehouses for new Real-time Knowledgement Effort
Analytics has changed, companies do not use it looking at the past, but looking at the future. The culture of analysis has definitely killed the reporting. Decision-making needs today’s data and tomorrow’s. ETL, ELT, ET(L), Data Virtualization and above all DataLake and the Cloud have changed the architecture of companies.
According to a Gartner study before the end of 2024, 75% of organizations will move from experimentation to working with operational artificial intelligence, which will increase the data throughput and capacity of analytical infrastructures fivefold. We will migrate from a Data Modeling perspective to a new Decision Modeling perspective. It is expected that by 2023, more than 33% of large organizations will have decision modeling professionals.
We will move towards the merger or hybridization of data management and advanced analytics. While the two spheres of work have always been considered distinct entities, and managed accordingly, the distinction between the two markets will blur, and allow for interaction and collaboration. All this and much more was discussed at the round table facilitated by Javier Torrenteras in 2021 edition of DMS.
